Feon, a subsidiary of Onvest, has acquired the entire share capital of Ferrum Group. Simultaneously, Onvest purchased Ferrum’s four production facilities in Seinäjoki town, in South Ostrobothnia.

Ferrum Group specializes in the pre-processing of steel sheets and long steels. In 2023, Ferrum generated sales of approximately €28 million, and it employs around 125 people in its production facilities and office in Seinäjoki.

Ferrum’s service offering includes comprehensive steel pre-processing services, including cutting, sawing, bending, machining, welding, shot blasting, and heat treatment of steel sheets and pipes. Ferrum leverages a broad subcontracting network to deliver comprehensive solutions to its customers. The company’s key customer base is international machinery and equipment manufacturers.

Feon is a steel service company that serves customers in machine and equipment manufacturing in all stages of steel construction. The company operates production sites in Hattula, Uusikaupunki, Forssa, and Akaa. In 2023, Feon achieved a turnover of approximately €150 million, and it employs around 200 people.

Feon’s owner, Onvest, is a family-owned company with over a century of history, dedicated to developing and expanding Finnish industrial businesses and other enterprises. Onvest’s operations include steel services, real estate business, wood construction, and industrial holdings.

With this acquisition, Feon continues to grow its service and pre-processing business in the Finnish steel market, as per its strategy. Together, Feon and Ferrum form a strong steel pre-processing business, offering an even more comprehensive product and service portfolio to their customers. The acquisition of Ferrum enhances Feon’s competitiveness and enables broad-based operational development in line with customer needs.
