Sale of Tieturi Oy and Informator AB to Soprano Oyj
Tieturi Oy is an ICT training company founded in 1983. Together with Informator AB, Tieturi’s fully owned subsidiary in Sweden, the group is a leading Nordic company in providing ICT training services for corporations and public sector organizations. Tieturi collaborates with numerous ICT giants such as Microsoft, Adobe, Red Hat, Scrum Alliance, IBM and Oracle. The Group turnover was approximately 17 million euros consisting of 9.4 million euros in Finland and 7.5 million euros in Sweden. The group employs approximately 100 persons. Tieturi’s EBIT was 0.1 M€ which was effected by personnel investments for future growth. The Enterprise value was 5.0 M€. Soprano financed the transaction by obtaining 3.0 M€ senior bank loan, 1.0 M€ hybrid loan and organizing 1.0 M€ directed share issue. Our main value creation components were:
- Initiation of the process coupled with potential buyer intelligence
- Converting the company’s own financial and business documentation into required sales material with limited access to management – correctly positioning the company
- Organizing a structured bidding process for selected buyer candidates
- Preparing the management for the management meetings based on buyer intelligence

After the transaction Soprano has 180 employees and offices in Helsinki, Tampere, Stockholm, Malmö and Gothenburg as well as in Tallinn.
