Sale of Ibero Oy to Oy Transmeri Ab

Ab Transmeri Oy, a Finnish family company, has acquired 100 % of the shares of Ibero Oy. Ibero has become a subsidiary of Transmeri as of July 1, 2016.

Ibero is a family company, founded in 1951, that specializes in designing, importing and marketing of fashion jewelry, sun glasses and beauty products. The largest customers are the Finnish retailing conglomerates and specialty stores. Ibero also exports to Russia and the Baltics.

Transmeri was founded in 1928 and is now run by the second and the third generation. In 2015, Transmeri had over 500 employees and the consolidated revenue was 172,5 M€. The company is known for its strong brands. “The Ibero-brand is a perfect fit to our portfolio. It also supports our current business operations in personal hygiene and beauty”, says Sari Rosin, the CEO of Trasmeri Oy.
