Lindström Group was advised by Carner in the acquisition of Lännen Tekstiilihuolto Oy from City of Turku, City of Pori and Satakunta Hospital District

In Short

Lännen Tekstiilihuolto Oy is focusing on rental and maintenance of textiles and workwear to institutions, hotels and restaurants operating on the west and south coast of Finland. The company’s year 2019 sales were approximately EUR 6 million and the company employed 46 persons.

The Whole Story

Family company Lindström is one of the leading textile service companies in Europe with over 170 years of experience in the area. Lindström Group’s year 2019 sales were EUR 408 million and the group employed 4,600 persons.

Finland is Lindström’s largest market area and the group operates two other units in the region near Lännen Tekstiilihuolto in Pori and Kankaanpää, which offer rental of workwear, mats, sanitary textiles, industrial wipers, hotel and restaurant textiles and textiles for care homes.
“Lindström continuously develops its skills and services targeting to an excellent customer experience. This acquisition secures the customer service and business development of Lännen Tekstiilihuolto. In addition, our competences in the health care sector will be strengthened through this acquisition” comments Lindström Finland’s country manager Pasi Saarinen.

“There was not strategic justification for a public administration ownership of Lännen Tekstiilihuolto any more as the public owners can either tender out their own textile services or produce these services in-house. We are delighted that the transaction secures the business development and the customer service continuity of the company”, says Jarkko Virtanen, Deputy Mayor of City of Turku.

Carner Corporate Finance advised Lindström Group in the transaction.
