Maalinja Oy and EPR-Asennus Oy are joining Lohkare Infra Oy, a leading Finnish infrastructure construction group. The transaction is subject to approval by the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCCA).
Maalinja Group specializes in district heating and cooling projects. The group includes Maalinja Oy, which focuses on earthworks and street restoration, and its 90%-owned subsidiary EPR-Asennus Oy, which provides installation, welding, and insulation services.
Following the transaction, Maalinja and EPR-Asennus will continue to operate under their own names as independent companies of Lohkare Infra. As part of the group, the companies will be able to serve their customers with even greater resources and improved delivery reliability.
Backed by Triton, Lohkare Infra is one of the most significant infrastructure constructors in Finland, with expertise across a wide range of infrastructure projects. Prior to the acquisition of Maalinja and EPR-Asennus, the group consisted of VM-Suomalainen Oy, Lännen Alituspalvelu Oy, and Oteran Oy (subject to FCCA approval). Lohkare Infra has a combined turnover exceeding EUR 200 million and employs more than 300 professionals.
Lohkare Infra’s strategy is to bring together strong, reputable companies into an agile and competitive group. It operates with a decentralized, entrepreneur-driven model, built around leading regional and service area companies with proven resilience and profitability across cycles.
The transaction remains subject to regulatory approval, which is expected later in 2025.
Carner Corporate Finance advised Lohkare Infra and Triton throughout the process and continues to support Lohkare Infra in its growth journey.
