Sale of Megra Oy to OneMed Oy

OneMed Oy strengthens its position in Finland by acquiring healthcare reseller Megra Oy. A Finland based family business, Megra delivers nationwide healthcare and veterinary services and solutions. The company’s product portfolio includes medical and veterinary devices and equipment.

OneMed imports, markets, sells and distributes a large variety of products for basic and specialty medical treatment. Additionally, the company invests in developing its own brands.

The sale of medical devices generates a large part of Megra’s operations, and around a half of the company’s sales are to veterinary clinics. As there is no overlap between the two companies’ representations, the new product categories brought by Megra will expand OneMed’s operations. As a result of the transaction, the company’s customer relations will extend especially to the field of veterinary.

Megra’s Marita Smolander believes that the transaction will strengthen Megra’s distribution channels and will bring in many opportunities for sales increase.
