ePassi Payments Oy acquires Min Friskvård AB

ePassi Payments Oy increases its lead as the largest mobile payment system provider for employee benefits in the Nordic countries.

ePassi Payments Oy acquired a majority of the shares in Swedish firm Min Friskvård Sverige AB on 29 October 2015. The acquisition increases ePassi’s lead as the first and largest provider of mobile payment systems for targeted employee benefits in the Nordic countries. At the same time, ePassi’s network of user sites continues to grow, with over seven thousand sites. From now on, ePassi can be used as a payment method in Sweden, too.

Min Friskvård Sverige is one of Sweden’s biggest payment system providers for personnel benefits. Min Friskvård Sverige’s operations are also based on Internet and mobile technologies, which makes it an interesting company as far as ePassi is concerned.

Due to the acquisition, ePassi will be able to serve both Finnish and Swedish companies better as payment methods for employee benefits can be concentrated with one supplier. Significant growth possibilities also exist in Sweden in cooperation with Min Friskvård Sverige as ePassi’s payment methods for lunch and commuting benefits are launched in addition to existing sports benefits.
