Acquisition of Frank Nørager & Co A/S by Ville Silvasti Oy
Transport Company Ville Silvasti Ltd, a Finland-based provider of special and heavy transports as well as project logistics services, has acquired Frank Nørager & Co. A/S, the largest special transportation company in Denmark specializing in wind power logistics. The acquisition is aided by the fact that the two family-owned companies share many similarities. Frank Nørager & Co. was established 30 years ago by Frank Nørager, who started operating as a driver with only a single truck, just like Silvasti.
In order to grow in Europe, Silvasti had to expand geographically and gain new customerships.
In 2018, Silvasti’s revenue was 27 M€ and Frank Nørager’s c. 23 M€. With the acquisition, Silvasti becomes the Nordic leader in transportation services for the wind turbine industry.
The new Silvasti Group’s equipment now consists of approximately 100 tractor units, over 50 escort vehicles and over 200 different special transport trailers, some of which can be extensively modified based on clients’ needs.
